Family of the Month for Fr. Bill Johnson Council #11665 for October 2025 goes to Dave and Bonnie Grigsby. Dave a have and Bonnie have been married 44 yrs. They have two sons (Bradley and Jonathan). Dave has been a lifelong Catholic right here at SFDS, while Bonnie attends Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville.

Dave originally joined the Knights in October 2023 under Tyler Kohl. Even though Dave is a recent member of the Knights, Dave and Bonnie’s legacy of service and involvement in St Francis de Sales and the community through the gifts of their time, talent, and treasure go way back! Dave and Bonnie have filled that time by participating in many parish functions, like our recent benefits, Alpha, retreats, and Multiple Pilgrimages.

A fraction of Dave’s involvement includes:

– In his earlier years, Dave shared his golden voice in the Little Singers of the Cross, and even performed in front of the Pope in Rome!

– Remodeling of the Rectory in preparation of the arrival of Fr. Mike

– Remodeling of the SVdP Thrift Store to expand showroom space

– Adoration twice a week

– Dessert Sundae master for many parish activities where food service was involved

– Golf Cart Ministry

– Long time member of the Builders Association

– Member of Vanguard

– Participant in TMIY

– Frequent participant in Helping Hands projects

And Bonnie has also been individually very involved, including

– Christ Renews His Parish and Discover Your Design through SpringHills Baptist Church

– Long-time Bible Study member through SpringHills Baptist Church

– Kitchen volunteer at SpringHills Baptist Church

– Support for our annual Fish Fries and other benefits at SFDS – mostly with her famous coleslaw

– Volunteering in the kitchen at both SFDS and Newark Catholic
