The Knights of Columbus Fr. Bill Johnson Council #11665 has selected Jeff and Marianne Kieffer as our January 2026 Family of the Month. Jeff and Marianne were married in 1988. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. While Marianne is a lifelong Catholic, Jeff went through RCIA just after the birth of their first child. In their nearly 30 years as members of St. Brigid in Dublin, Jeff joined their Knights of Columbus Council 10863 in 2003. At St. Brigid, Jeff and Marianne were involved in PSR and helped to develop small faith groups. They eventually moved to Nashport where they joined St. Mary Mattingly Settlement. While there, Jeff was active in their Knights of Columbus Council 10820, taking on the Council’s Community Director Role for two years. In 2019, Jeff and Marianne were drawn to St. Francis de Sales and Fr. Dave Sizemore, who they knew while parishioners at St. Brigid! Fr. Dave then quickly drew Marianne in to assist with the Capital Campaign and then to help families navigate the EdChoice Scholarships at SFdS. Jeff helped on the cemeteries team, joined Vanguard and led the startup of a volunteer Snow Removal Team for the church. Jeff transferred to Council #11665. Jeff has been a frequent attendee of the Columbus Men’s Conference. He enjoys his Saturday mornings with the men of the parish at TMIY. Outside SFdS, Jeff has been an active member with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Licking County. Marianne has served as a board member of the Soul Sisters and has been heavily involved with the Giving Tree for the past five years. Since joining St. Francis, Jeff and Marianne have attended and been enriched by many faith-based programs as a couple, including Alpha, Called and Gifted, Rescue Project, and Bible Timeline. They’ve also been fortunate enough to participate in a few pilgrimages! They are looking forward to participating in the new Evangelical Life Groups at SFdS. They are thankful for the many opportunities to grow their faith in our parish.
