Fr. Bill Johnson Council #11665 received an urgent request from the St. Francis de Sales Parish Community Outreach Ministry (COM) to help a family of six (mom, dad,  twin five-year-olds one of which had special needs, and two smaller children) move from a one room motel in Heath, OH to a small rental house in Zanesville, OH (close to 30 miles away). They had to move out of the motel within 48 hours! Four brother Knights (Dave Breitmayer, Bob Doran, Dave Shallenberger, Dave Smith) were able to quickly mobilize and relocate them before the 48 hours was up. Unfortunately, the house they were moving into wasn’t ready for them when they arrived! We then quickly put them up in a different motel for two days at a cost of $120 while the rental property was made ready for move in. Once the property was turned over to them, Bob Doran and Dave Shallenbeger then headed back to Zanesville to complete the move. Altogether, in addition to the cost of the hotel room, the Knights contributed 26 manhours.
