The Knights of Columbus Fr. Bill Johnson Council #11665 Family of the Month for May 2026 goes to Patrick and Mary Ann Kent. They have been married for 19 years after both lost their long-time spouses in 2006. They met on CatholicMatch.com! They have 5 children and one grandchild.

Patrick and Mary Ann transferred to St. Francis de Sales in 2023 and have since become heavily involved in many aspects of our parish community! They are both well known for their welcoming constant smiles that spread joy year-round!

Together, Patrick and Mary Ann have shown a real passion for service to the poor. Two examples include being charter members and volunteers of St. Vicent dePaul Society in Knox County, and assisting with Food Pantry in Vinton County. They are also 20-year supporters of Glenmary Home Missioners. They also love Adult Formation opportunities like Teams of Our Lady, Seeds of Faith, 10:10 Life Group, Retreats, other special programs. Additionally, they have participated in the last five Ohio March For Life events and were eager volunteers for our Parish Lenten Fish Fry Support.

Patrick joined the Knights in June, 1992, and transferred to Fr. Bill Johnson Council #11665 at St. Francis de Sales in October 2025! He stepped up to teach AP Calculus when a sudden need arose at NCHS! Patrick also served as President of Knox County SVdP for 8 years, and currently serves as a willing volunteer as Area Representative for Warriors to Lourdes (a program cosponsored by the KofC Supreme Council and US Military Archdiocese). More recently, he has served as an OCIA Sponsor.

Mary Ann has stepped as well in many ways, including leading one of the Seven Sisters groups (prayer warriors for our priests) and assisting with COM by answering phones! Even with that, Mary Ann makes time for Adoration 3 days a week!

Patrick and Mary Ann are amazing models of a sacramental couple. They really put their Faith into Action!
